Tell me More Abut Lasers:
Starting with the consultation, you should be asked a series of questions relating to how you either tan or burn with normal sun exposure. This determines what is called the Fitzpatrick Skin Type & is used to choose proper laser settings. If the Skin Type is incorrectly determined, the treatment can result in mild burns or be totally ineffective. During your consultation a simple medical history should be taken to help decide if laser is safe for you.
Ask questions and be sure to answer all questions about yourself honestly. Laser is not for everyone; but over 98% of the population can receive laser therapy safely & effectively when the proper device is used for the choice of treatment. Laser is not it a quick fix, however. Multiple treatments are required to get lasting results. The next step is to decide what laser treatment you wish to have.
Lasers come in a wide variety and not all can do every kind of treatment. For example, one type laser is good for hair removal, but not for pigment correction.
Ask questions! Know what type laser is going to be used. Don't be afraid to research before treatment. And remember, not all laser technicians are equally trained or are well informed. At Body Focus, we strive to offer the best possible laser service. By keeping our education constantly updated and utilizing the most advanced laser systems available, you can count on the results you deserve!
